Through the Lens Thursday : Week Four

Back again to link up with Through the Lens Thursday

Prompt word: White
Location: kitchen table, Lulu's favorite sunny spot
Materials: white paper, glitter, scissors, glue
Camera: Nikon ISO1100, 1/30, f 4.2
Day : January 21, 2014 11:21am
Most of the time I think your reaction to a situation can change the outcome. I carried this belief like my own personal fairy dust for the past couple of days. Taking it out when I needed a boost. Lulu and I have been fighting the good fight against the flu these days, but on Tuesday morning we were quite energized riding on the idea to create a winter wonderland at home. With sore throats and sniffly noses and blasting some Katy Perry (as per her request) we happily went to work.

I had no idea I would be using these pictures for this project. I just wanted to capture how sick we were NOT for a moment, and riding high on an idea she woke up with. I just loved watching her face as she saw it come to life.
Even though these moments came in waves, this is warm gooey good stuff is what I want to remember... of the week we both were sick but it did not get the best of us.
Reminds me of the time we took a trip to Baltimore and I was quite sick with a high fever but refused to stay in the hotel. So against the captain's wishes I put my big girl panties on and put my game face on ... read about it here and here.
Today we played "spy girls" a game she invented and changes every time. I love that she calls me "spy momma", makes me feel stealthy. Today we did some major super spy work... some "bad guys" left our house in a mess and it was our job to fix it. yeah I got her fooled, for now.

As this "spy momma" sits here quite feverish, congested and achy her heart is full and happy.
