There are a lot of little things that make me happy, but yesterday nothing made me happier than seeing the captain be inspired to paint again. I love the way the pallet shows the traces of his movements and strokes.
Some significant movements in my life...
when I was five years old I learned that just because I was double jointed, that did not make me a ballet dancer
when I was a ten I saw the movie E.T. and I was moved to tears for the first time in a theater ... made me a believer in the power of movies
the time I walked home barefoot because my favorite sandals were covered in mud, after singing and dancing in the rain at an Ani Difranco summer concert... by far my favorite concert experience
the time I impulsively kissed a boy that changed my life forever
over one summer I tested the limits and endurance of my body by rock climbing cross country and easily got over my fear of heights
about 13 years ago felt what it was like to have life move inside of me for the first time and felt powerful
“I move, therefore I am.”
― Haruki Murakami
