About Little Red and the Black Spook

The city kids did the old time tradition of going "door to door" for the first time.
Learning the rules of who leaves their lights on are welcome to ring the bell.
And keep away from the man in the saw cutting wood in his driveway.
By the end of the night they got the hang of it ... and made out with a huge stash of goodies.
The neighbors were spooked at the king's homemade mask but then overcome with cuteness from the princess every time she said "trick or treat" in her little sweet voice.
They made a great team.

creepy ... "he,he,he..."

Late at night it was all about the counting and trading of the loot with friends.

These were some of my favorite costumes from some crafty momma friends...
Lisa from Goodknits had the best homemade costumes of some great characters here and here. Take the time to go through her site... she is amazing.
Lydia won her little girl's heart when she turned her into her favorite character with this homemade costume. This crafty momma has great ideas and turns her home into an art studio for her girls every day.
This is a great Frieda and Diego inspired one. She has great ideas to be creative every day in her site.
I fell in love with this great costume to celebrate el dia de los muertos...check out her great brooklyn shop and facebook page.

  1. Oh wow thanks for the mention! I love seeing your kids trick or treating, they look good in their costumes! I'm glad your princess was able to charm because the king's costume is super spooky (but also super-fantastic) :) Off to check out your other mentions Very cool.

If it was your cookies... no contest there... they would be gone same day.

  5. What a cute Red Riding Hood!! And I love that your son made his costume. My oldest son also always made his costumes. One year he was a volcano! It was cool, but very hard to see out of--the demise of many of the coolest costumes.
