Summer creative writing challenge for kids

After a much needed break from here I have created some new things which I will be adding to my shop soon. All the noise from social media is overwhelming for me and it seemed to suck out the energy from my creative process. You can see progress of my new things on InstagramFacebook or Twitter.

some bags and a lace shawl

School is out now ... after searching for a creative outlet for my son this summer I decided to do it myself. He will be going to Hawaii with my parents in July so to keep his very busy mind active till then I came up with an idea to do some brain exercises daily. I will be keeping it fresh my having him use different mediums, explore the outdoors, and incorporate logic, literature, math, art and music in the exercises. I will be creating them the night before and putting it in a box he will go to each morning to find his mission for the day.

I will be sharing it here as a way to get back to blogging and connecting again.
You are welcome to join us or share any exercises you have tried.
I would love to hear any ideas. Some of these exercises will be a group effort so I can get into the creative process myself.

The only rule is : it is all done my hand
It is all collected at the end of the summer and put into a book.

Let's go!

    1. I created it out of the need for my son to have something creative to do over the summer. I could not find something that was like this and affordable. I thought ... why not share it. Thanks Alison for your support always.

  2. This is brilliant, Alma! I'm totally getting my kids to do this. We have a few days' catch-up work to do, but I'm so excited! Thank you so much for this.
