King's away, Princess will play

Since the King has been away the Princess has had the place to herself.

Feeling like the ruler of the castle 

She is free to be a girl

To read her princess books

Dream of far far away

She stops to correct you if you tell the story wrong

To create till her heart is content

To dance with a frilly skirt to her favorite music

She sings and hops when she is the happiest

I know she misses her brother

But is content in knowing he is coming back in a few days

She adjusts to change with ease and just goes with the flow

Unlike her brother she is more easy spirited and the King craves routine and structure

She has now returned to school this week and is back into her routine like a pro

She never tires of role playing and costume dress up at home

She says "you be the Beast and I'll be Belle"

Never knowing for so long what it was like to have a girl

I am now savoring the sweet girly moments

And so girly she is

I was never like that as a girl

I was quiet and reserved, she is loud and friendly

I preferred jeans and boots, she lives in skirts and leggings

Seeing the world thru her has opened up my girly side 

I jump at any opportunity to play with her hair 

I am so obsessed with it that I have not dared to cut it

I am obsessed with her hair 

She dreams of being a ballerina

She is small but can kick like a black belt

Destined to play Clara in the Nutcracker

In the morning she says"good morning sun" out the window

"Yes, Virginia" is her favorite Christmas movie
She cries every time its over...yes every time
