Prompt Word: corner

Location: local thrift store

Day : Jan. 9th, 2014 at 1:19pm , Cloudy 51 degrees

When I think of the word corner I think of a safe place. Corners tend to be where things are hidden best. Don't we all have a favorite corner or nook to have our quite time best spent?

I find myself in corners of a thrift shop, there are corners where I believe hold magic, in these forgotten things that only I know about. I imagine these unloved things assaulting me, asking me to take them home or watch them speak among themselves.
Its always a magical discovery with ever changing players seeking new treasures that change daily. Clues sometimes are left behind by the original owners...a receipt, a poem in a pocket, a photo, a plane ticket used a bookmark, a key, or an old stamp I have seen among them.
In this corner, I inexplicably fell in love with a vintage tin box that held the sweetest smell and the best tinny  sound.
